Young Co-Designers needed to build ORIGIN online interventional platform

Lab4Living is recruiting underrepresented young people aged 16-24 from who’ve had experience of mental health difficulties to help build an online arts and culture well-being platform.

ORIGIN is a multidisciplinary research project that’s developing an online museum of diverse stories to support underrepresented young people with their mental health.

Project partners include Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, Sheffield Hallam University, University of Sheffield, London School of Economics, University College London, University of Liverpool and University of Plymouth, along with University of Oxford and Lab4Living.

The research follows on from a pilot project led by University of Oxford, ‘Ways of Being’, that found a positive link between mental health and engaging in online arts and culture.

The online museum will feature 200 unique and hidden stories about people or artefacts, and to help with this, Lab4Living is recruiting young people who are:

  • Aged 16-24
  • Have experienced mental health difficulties
  • UK based
  • Interested in research, story-telling, museums

Recruits to the Co-Designers Network will receive a Co-Design kit to support them in their research journey exploring archives and hidden stories, which will then be creatively told on the platform or presented at an exhibition in early summer this year (details to follow).
