Ursula Ankeny presents at 3rd Child Heath Tech Conference before beginning Australia and New Zealand placements

09 Nov 2023

PhD researcher Ursula Ankeny presents this week at the Child Health Technology conference (8-10 November 2023). Her presentation is entitled: ‘Technology as a helping hand: the impacts of self-management assistive devices on children and young people (CYP) with JIA’. The presentation explores the benefits technological devices can bring to condition management for young people with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis. In particular, it explores how these technological benefits can often go beyond individual physical symptom management, towards more intangible aspects, such as enabling improved stakeholder communication, independence, or confidence.
