Lab4Living has a strong track record of engagement with health-related research projects. Outputs from these are manifested in peer reviewed journal articles and in award winning research informed products or interventions. A number of these have been taken up by commercial partners, making these available to individuals living with long-term chronic and life limiting conditions. Other research-informed products have been adopted by hospitals, health services and third sector organisations.
The impact of Lab4Living’s research is evidenced through its significant contribution to the university’s REF submission for unit of assessment ‘Art & Design, History Theory and Practice’, where impact was judged to be 100% world leading or internationally excellent of which 83% was world leading.
